Worth The Wait
Christmas is called “the most wonderful time of the year.”Christmas is a season of waiting; waiting for snow to fall, waiting for Christmas decorations to get put up, waiting for family to get into town, waiting for Santa Claus to show up, and waiting for Christmas morning to open presents. For a child, it’s worth the wait! But what we are all truly waiting for is Jesus Christ. And He is worth the wait! For centuries, God’s people waited for the Messiah. But no one expected the Messiah to come in the form of a baby born in a manger. But His ministry and work on the cross was worth the wait! Today, even though we have the love and hope of Jesus Christ available to us, we still wait for His return. And that’ll be worth the wait too!
All In For Christ
In his letter to the young church in Colossae, Paul provides a timeless template for the full life in Christ. Paul makes it clear that Jesus is preeminent and worthy of everything. And in Him, only in Him, can we live the fullest life possible; a life filled with things like love, prayer, spiritual wisdom and understanding, holiness, unity, maturity, and freedom.
